LocationThe conference will be held in conference center De Hoorneboeg , which is nicely siutated between woods and heathlands near Hilversum (in the center of The Netherlands). The conference center offers small, decent hotel rooms with toilet and shower.

By carHighway A27 (from the north): leave at exit "Hilversum" (exit number 33). Turn left at the first junction with traffic lights. Proceed, passing below a railroad bridge, turn left at the roundabout, to the "Utrechtse weg" (direction: Maartensdijk). Proceed about 500 meters after leaving the Hilversum city limits and find a sign "Hoorneboeg" on the right side of the road. Turn right onto the driveway. Highway A27 (from the south): leave at exit "Bilthoven" (exit number 32). Immediately turn left. At the junction, turn right in the direction of "Maartensdijk". This is the N417 road, called "Koningin Wilhelminaweg", "Tolakkerweg" and "Utrechtseweg". Pass through the small towns of Maartensdijk and Hollandsche Rading. Go straight ahead at the roundeabout, in the direction of Hilversum. Proceed until you see a bus stop at your left together with a sign "Hoorneboeg". Turn left onto the driveway. Follow the driveway (about 1 kilometer). At the end of the driveway you find a large sign with the directions for the different buildings. The conference will be held in "De Schuur". There is ample parking space near this building. By train Travel to Hilversum station. The conference center is about 5 kilometers from Hilversum station. You can take a cab or the bus. Bus 58 (direction: Zeist, runs once per hour) stops at the start of the driveway(bus stop "Hoorneboeg"). You will have to walk more than 1 km to get to the conference center itself. Sunday morning bus times are 9:35, 10:35, 11:35, Monday morning bus times are 7:30, 8:00, 9:04, 10:04, 11:04. Alternatively you can take bus 104 to bus stop J.H. Meijerstraat and walk over the heathlands to the conference center (this is a bit more adventurous route, so please consult a map). If you travel by ICE (from Germany), travel to Utrecht Central Station and take the train to Hilversum. If you travel from France or Belgium using the Thalys or the international train, travel via Rotterdam Central Station and Utrecht Central Station to Hilversum. From Schiphol airport From Schiphol airport, take the direct train to Hilversum station. There is a direct (slow) train every 30 minutes that takes about 50 minutes. The one way fee is € 6,40 (2nd class) / € 10,90 (1st class). |
